Shadow Den
Name | Shadow Den |
---|---|
Recommended Levels | 7-10 |
Recommended Party Size | 4-6 |
Scope | Large |
Region | Battledale |
Few dare approach this old mine; years ago, the miners within accidentally released an ancient horror, dark and terrible, that spilled to the countryside and corrupted everything in its way. The church of Lathander rallied to drive the darkness back to its depths and destroy it, but was only partially successful – while the dark shadows and corrupted creatures that came pouring from within were successfully bound and confined to the mine, the Lathanderites themselves perished to the last, failing to destroy the taint completely.
The place now stands secluded and mostly untouched within the Three Rivers Land, save for those foolish and brave enough to delve within.
Location:
Find the Yeven Trail, and follow the River Ashaba past the Pool of Yeven. The mine lays between the Pool of Yeven and the southern Dun Hills.
Cholandrothipe's Tower
Name | Cholandrothipe's Tower |
---|---|
Recommended Levels | 8-11 |
Recommended Party Size | 4-6 |
Scope | Large |
Region | Featherdale |
The town of Feather Falls was home to the now-deceased Cholandrothipe - a powerful wizard who wielded potent spells, said to allow him to shrink entire boats and move them around Feather Falls without carrying their cargo over the portage. A few years ago Cholandrothipe was assassinated by agents of the Red Wizards of Thay, possibly because he refused to share his spells with them. It is much because of this that few in Featherdale suffer a Red Wizard to walk unmolested through their dale. Cholandrothipe's slender tower now stands on the edge of the town, but few dare explore the deceased mage's home for fear of its guardians and wards.
Location:
In Featherdale, travel to Feather Falls. The tower is situated north of the eastern side of town.

A band of nasty redcaps based themselves in a grove around a old elven cache. Redcaps are nasty little fey who like killing people and soaking their hats in their blood.
